Scope of work: Project management, software design, installation, implementation and interfaces developing to the central information system

Project Description: Haifa Chemicals is a long established international corporation that produces and markets specialty fertilizers and Chemicals for industry.

The company uses Maximo as a central control management system to optimally manage the performance of assets and equipments.

The system interfaces with three central information systems:

• Smarteam, a product development and lifecycle management solution,
• PI, a real-time engine for modern client/server based industrial data collection.
• BPCS, an ERP system deals with the logistics of Haifa Chemicals

The link to the PI system allows for constant and automatic updates during changes in process leading to Predictive Maintenance. Smarteam holds all the documents related to the equipment and for the production processes, changes is documented in the document management system and automatically transferred to the Maximo system which updates the hierarchal location tree structure.

The interface to the BPCS system is used to transfer the catalogue details to the Maximo system, regarding spear parts storerooms balance, putting spear parts “on hold” prior to issue for work orders, and information about spear parts issue for work orders.

In addition, the system has all the information about the formation of the equipment in a tree format and standard maintenance regulations, based on equipment manufacturers information and Haifa Chemical stuff knowledge.

Maximo enables accumulation of equipment historical processes (regular and initiated maintenance and failure repair) and cost of the equipment and provides the management team with data for sound decision-making on the basis of accurate information.
