This system, developed for ICL group, addresses the need for information availability of the transmission of materials from the different plants to the ports, management and control of inventory at ports and presentation of loading data of ships at the port and more.
The system displays the following information at any given time:
- Movement of trucks on route to the port
- Movement of carts on route to the port
- Inventory management of materials in ports and transitional warehouses.
- Display inventory history.
- Automatic and manual reports of unloading of trucks at port.
- Reports of unloading of raw materials from ships at port
- Accounting reports for transportation companies.
The system includes software to manage the automatic unloading of port trucks via a barcode scanner: the system identifies the shipping document according to the barcode, confirms compatibility of material in order to prevent mixing of materials, weights the truck in order to confirm that the items are the same as in the shipping document, unleashes a system of barriers and produces unloading authorization to driver.
The system includes different interfaces including a number of programmed inspection tools (PLC) in order to collect all the information required by the client.
The system is installed at theAshdod andEilat Port and is employed by the staff including:
- The plant manager at the port.
- Shift managers.
- Workers who unload the trucks and carts.
- Those responsible for the removal of the materials in the different plants (five plants)
- Operational staff of the carts
- Transport companies that follow their trucks.
The system is a Client/Server software that was developed in Visual Basic using Microsoft SQL Server database.
