This system provides the plant management with the necessary tools to manage the entrance and exit of fleet from the plant, as well as the loading train carts. The main objectives of this system is to improve the control over the lineup, to produce and conserve the information of departing materials and its entrance, supervise the drivers and allow for the maximum number of trucks and carts to leave the plant with as minimum amount of accidents, all in the greatest efficiency.
In addition, the system allows for the following activities:
- Management and documentation of the materials of the trucks during entrance and exit.
- Support of different measurement systems.
- Support of a number of measurement systems at every station.
- Option to weight trucks and carts at stations.
- Prevention of weight irregularities according to regulations.
- Weight comparison of materials in truck with the weight that appears in the supplier's shipping document.
- Automatic refill of carts.
- Interface with corresponding systems (transport companies, etc.)
- Production of data analysis.
The systems are successfully installed and active for a number of years at the Dead Sea Works's Sdom Gate and Tzefa site (trucks and carts) and Rotem Amfert Negev's Oron site (trucks and carts).
The system is a Client/Server software that was developed in Visual Basic using Microsoft SQL Server database.
Ludan continues to develop the system on a regular basis according to the users' request and accumulated experience. In the future, we expect to add to the system additional capabilities including:
- Automatic identification of the carts loaded via RF.
- Identification of the driver and truck via a magnetic card.
- Interface with order system.
